SECOND WOOD SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM – ROMANIA

AIESM together with various local institutions is organizing the Second International Wood Sculptor’s Symposium that will take place in a town of Romania, from 09th – 16th September 2012.
The Symposium is open to any artist without limits of age or residence. A professional jury will select three artists. The chosen theme is flying. The work of art should be made mainly of hard oak wood. The wood is cut at 4 m length and it has a 35-60 cm diameter
Full board and lodging will be provided by the organizers. Companions have to pay themselves only meals.
The Organizers will refund the transportation’s cost until the amount of 300 Euros. Artists from overseas may get 500 Euros. The selected artists must provide evidence of travel costs.
An honorarium of 500 Euros will be paid to each participant.
The artists will be supplied with the basic equipment, but sculptors will have to bring their personal tools
