INTERNATIONAL STONE SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM - PORTUGAL

This International Symposium of Sculpture in Stone will take place between 1 and 28 July 2012, in a city of Portugal.
The sculptures produced during the symposium, will become property of the organizing Municipality. To all participants will be paid staying expenses, such as: hotel expenses, and meals, as well as 50% of travelling expenses (must have receipt). The participants must choose the type of stone (marble, granite and limestone) and dimensions. Eventually, other materials can be used, in which case sculptors must give detailed description. The stone should not exceed 3 tons, however, each sculpture may consist of more than one block. All participants will have power (220 W), compressed air and water as well as power tools and consumables. To all the sculptors will be paid a prize of 3.000 Euros at the end of the symposium, after completion of the work.
