Ingrandisci la foto
Deadline: 1st of February 2012
As part of its 2011-12 programming, this centre in Quebec is offering to all artists, the chance to present his or her work in its main gallery following an in-house production residency.
The residency is designed for artists who require the use of the wood and/or metal shops for the entire three-months period in order to realize an installation or sculptural or multidisciplinary work that incorporates materials and techniques that can only be handled in the shops. The artist chosen for the residency will be provided with accommodations and a per diem for the entire period: from October 2012 to January 2013. The exhibition that follows the three-months residency will be part of the centre’s programming for its main gallery. The exhibition will take place in January 2013.
While developing the project, the artist will have access to all the equipment contained in the wood and metal shops : a vast common space where many artists from the Québec City region work under the guidance of professional technicians.
