INTERNATIONAL SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM - ARGENTINA

Various institutions in Argentina organize this V International Sculpture Symposium. The Symposium will take place from the 01th October to the 09th October, 2011 in a town of Argentina. The theme of the sculpture is free. The organizing committee will select 10 national and foreign sculptors. Material: National white marble, in irregular blocks of 1 m³ approximately. The organization will provide a working place of approximately 3 x 3 mts, electricity, 220 V. compressed air. The place is equipped with: 24 hours Safety, cleaning staff, toilets and a place for resting and having afternoon snacks. Each sculptor will have to bring his/her own personal tools. The organization covers the cost of the sculptors' accommodation and food.
For intenational sculptors:
a) The organization does NOT pay travel expenses of arrival to the country.
b)The local transportation will be covered by the organization.
Each participating sculptor will receive the following honorarium:
- South American Artists 3300 pesos (approximately U$S 800).
- International Artists 6200 pesos (approximately U$S 1500).
The sculptors will have to bring a small sculpture (max. 50 cm tall approximately) that will be exhibited in the “International Exhibition of Worldwide Sculptors”. A base of 30 x 30 x 10 cm, and a card with information about the author and the sculpture will be provided to each sculptor.
The sculpture shown in this exhibition could be sold by their authors directly to the buyer without the organisers’ intervention. The organization will realize a catalogue with photos of the sculptor, his/her sculpture and CV (supplied by the artist). Each sculptor will receive five catalogues.
The sculpture produced during the symposium are property of the organizing committee.
