INTERNATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL SCULTPURE SYMPOSIUM – ISRAEL 2011

This international environmental sculpture symposium will take place in a city of Israel from the 24 Of October 2011 up to 22nd of November 2011. The theme of the symposium is persons or scenes out of the bible (Old Testament). Important: despite the suitable style is nearly abstract, the works must have some perceptible link to the chosen theme.
The material to be sculpted is the stone from Jerusalem that can be pre-cut if requested in advance and specified on the project.
Other materials such as steel etc… may be incorporated. The finished sculpture must be a monumental work about 3 m. of heights. The preferred style is a nearly abstract approach, in respect of Jewish ethic code, this means No perceptible faces and concealed human body parts will be perceivable. Every participating artist will receive the sum of 4000 $ US. The organization offers also food and lodging to the participating artist. The organizers will provide all necessary tools to work. If special equipment is required, the organizers should be told in advance.
