INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION OF PLASTIC ARTS – SPAIN

A Municipality in Spain announces the 72 International Exhibition Of Plastic Arts. Works of painting and sculpture will be admitted. The works of painting will have minimum dimensions of cm.100x81 and maximum of 250 cm., in any dimension. Those of sculpture won't exceed the 2 ms. of height.
The participants can introduce a maximum of two works that has not been introduced neither winning in this or other contests. The works of sculpture can be introduced in the material chosen by the author specifying if the material is definitive or not and in case it will be definitive, the economic evaluation of the work. All the paintings must be introduced without frame, or framed by a wood auction, max. 2 cm of width. A catalogue will be realized with all the selected works.
PRIZES:
Painting: The organization will purchase the work of the winning artist at the price established by the same artist up to a value of Euro 30.000. The jury can purchase other works for the public collection of the local Museum, if they are founds available besides the first prize.
Sculpture: no money prize will be assigned to the winning artist and the work will remain his/her ownership. The winner will have two options:
a) The sculptor of the winning work can introduce in the term of thirty days, beginning from the notification of the prize, an economic proposal to raise the work to definitive material and such dimensions to allow its public installation at open air. In case the proposal is approved, the work introduced to the contest will remain in possession of the public collection of the Museum, and the definitive one will be installed in a public space of the City.
b) If it were no possible to realize the winning work in monumental form, and the work has not been introduced in definitive material, the sculptor will introduce by thirty days, beginning from the notification of the prize, an economic proposal for the realization of the work in definitive material, as its economic evaluation for its purchase.
Fund for the acquisition of other works for a total of 115.700 Euro.
