Ingrandisci la foto
Deadline: 28 February 2011
A University in United Kingdom aims to enhance its space with the commission of a specially conceived sculpture providing visual punctuation and stimulus. The total allocated for this Public Art Commission is £21,000 (incl. VAT), which will be awarded to an artist or a design team. A Stage 2 fee will be granted to each of the shortlisted artists for the amount of £500. This fee may be used to cover costs incurred by the artist whilst attending the interviews and preparing the Stage 2 information / presentation.
The artist will be invited to initially propose concepts, which respond to the following creative pointers:
Interactivity, Housing, Enterprise, Shelter.
These themes can be interpreted very broadly and the work can embrace a range of sculptural media and approaches. Sustainable practice and as such the commission will be expected to embrace the use of sustainable principles and where possible, construction techniques.
