BIENNIAL INTERNATIONAL SCULPTURE COMPETITION - JAPAN

An international sculpture biennial will begin in autumn 2021 in Japan. All artists are invited to participate by submitting a project.

Job specifications
A) Entries must be original works, which have not been exhibited to the public elsewhere.
B) The maximum size of the actual work is 900cm (the total size of the height + width + depth, including the pedestal must be less than 900cm). The maximum weight of the actual work is 10 tons. Actual work must be capable of being transported with a 10-ton truck.
C) The sculpture should take into consideration the safety of the spectators. The materials and structure must be suitable for an outdoor environment, be able to withstand wind pressure and earthquakes and be safe to touch. Jobs that need frequent repairs or maintenance are not desirable.
D) The work should not violate the rights of third parties.

Awards

Various, from ¥ 500,000 to ¥ 4,000,000 will be provided.
