INTERNATIONAL WOOD SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM – ITALY

An Italian Organization organizes a wood sculpture outdoor competition, that will take place in June 2015.

Material and Tools:
The sculptures must be made out of the larch trunks that the organization will make available to sculptors. (h. about 1,80 m; Ø about 50-70 cm.).
Each participant must have his own tools and support base to work at the sculpture. The time to use the chainsaw will be set by the organizers. Working time is from 9.00a.m. to 12.30 a.m. and from 3.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m from Wednesday to Saturday, so that the public can attend the works execution. On Sunday every work will be at artists’ disposal to be retouched.
The closing ceremony will take place Saturday at 6.00 pm directly on the site of the symposium. Allocation of place and material to sculpture will be done via draw.

Accommodation
The costs of accommodation and meals will be at the expense of the Organization from Tuesday the 23rd of June at 8.30 am, to Sunday the 28th June at 6.00 pm.

Honorarium
Each artist will get a forfeit sum of 800,00 euro net.
