INTERNATIONAL SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM - CHILEDeadline: December 12, 2014A city of Chile organizes an International Sculpture Symposium between 5 and 15 February 2015.
The International Sculpture Symposium involves the production and exchange of experiences, and has no characteristics of competition, selection of works or prizes. The Organizing Committee has decided to invite 11 sculptors: 6 national and 5 from abroad.
Participants will receive for their sculptures:
- Local Wood about 1.00 tall by 0.40 / 0.50 in diameter.
- For works on iron: 150 kg iron elements (various).
- A block of travertine of 1.00 x 50 x 50
Regarding the performance of the work:
a) The work will be done on site enabled on the Saval Park.
b) The materials and the workplace will be awarded through a lottery.
c) The schedule shall be governed by the program of the Symposium.
d) 1 chainsaw operator, 2 welders and 3 assistants will be available to help artists.
The sculptors are required to attend all acts performed by the organizers on the occasion of the Symposium, including lunches, social events and dinners under the Programme.
The costs of travel and stay for foreign participants and those nationals who are not domiciled in the district, will be borne by the organizers of the symposium, from the 4th to February 15, 2015.
Expenses incurred by extra persons accompanying the artist are not the responsibility of the Organising Committee.
