THE WOOD SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM - GERMANY

The 18th sculpture symposium will be organized by the city council and the advertising activity group of an German city. It will take place from 25. August until 1. September 2013. Fifteen artists of different nationalities, chosen by an expert jury, will be invited.
The sculptors will receive a tree trunk of between 200 cm in height and with a circumference of 50± to 60± cm.
Each artist receives a pre-tax fee of 1,000eu (1,350usd), which will be paid on completion of the sculpture. In addition, a lump-sum for travel expenses will be provided. The costs of board and lodge in an Hotel of the town will be borne by the organizer.
Two prizes of a further 500eu (677 usd) will be presented to the artist whose work is chosen by the public and the pricing jury.
