Acclaimed sculptor Om Khattri was born on 21st Dec, 1969 in Baglung. He has a B.F.A. Tribhuvan University, Nepal and Masters degree in Fine Arts (Sculpture)from the Delhi University,India. In his illustrious career, he has participated in numerous workshops, seminars, symposiums and exhibited his work in and outside the country. He has coordinated several sculpture symposiums, exhibitions and other art activities. Few of his exhibitions are ‘Namaste-Embracing Cultures, Nepal America Art Exhibition, Kathmandu, Nepal- 2013, The First National Sculpture Exhibition 2007,Kathmandu, Nepal, Asian Art Biennale, Bangladesh, 1999 and 2006. He is one of the few internationally recognized sculptors of Nepal. He has many accolades to his name such as First Prize at the 35th National Art Exhibition – 2004, Araniko Youth Art Award - With Gold Medal – 2004. Mr. Khattri was a member of the Academic Council & Academic Assembly, Nepal Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA). and was founder president of ‘ARAMBHA’Contemporary Nepali Sculptors’ Association.
