Vila 31 Residency Program - Art Explora, Sessions 2026
This residency program is open to artists and art collectives, researchers and curators of all nationalities, without age limits, who demonstrate a minimum of five years of professional activity and have exhibited their works and research internationally. Approximately thirty residents are selected each year. In addition to evaluating the candidate's professional background, the committee members pay particular attention to the quality of the project, its relevance to the themes of the residency and the importance of its location in Albania for its development.
Artists can apply for the first residency session (January-March 2026), the second session (May-July 2026) or the third session (September-November 2026)

Accommodation and food:
Each single resident benefits from:
- A 3-month stay at Vila 31, in Tirana
- A studio apartment (with a single double bed), fully equipped and furnished
For collectives: Each group provides 1 studio apartment: the studio can accommodate one resident or a couple, but it is possible to share the bed with two members of the group. Otherwise, the workspace can be shared with the other members of the group.

Travel expenses: For individuals - return travel to the residence.
For collectives - travel to the residence will be paid for each member.

Honoraria: For individuals - a subsidy of 800 euros per month and a production subsidy of up to 1,500 euros. For collectives - each group shares 1 production subsidy and 1 subsistence subsidy.
