Ralfonso-Moving On UP

"MOVING ON UP" is a monumental sculpture, about the soaring celebration of life, possibility and the desire to explore new boundaries!

It is currently permanently installed in St. Petersburg, Russia and in Geneva, Switzerland

Its swirling form, as it turns on its rotating platform, not only conveys a sense of dynamic motion, but also of time passing. Its constantly shifting aspect views reflect our ever-changing perception of the reality around us.

AD INFINITUM
Zhenghou, China
AD INFINITUM is a wind-driven, kinetic sculpture, handcrafted in great detail from stainless steel AD INFINITUM is a Latin expression, meaning "to infinity" or "endlessly", - just as this sculpture will turn endlessly in the wind.

The heart of AD INFINITUM is an array of 36 intersecting metal ring discs, representing the 360 degrees of freedom -- each one reflecting a different reality in the highly polished stainless steel surface.

The "Infinity Center" is designed to look like the mathematical symbol ∞ for Infinity. Due to the intricate design and assembly, the view of it is ever changing, as it rotates simultaneously on multiple axis!

In November 2006 it has been exhibited at the "2nd International Art and Science Biennale" in Beijing, China and in May 2007 at the Art and Science Exhibition in Shanghai.

A 7meter version will be inaugurated in Zhenghou, China in May 2007

KREISEL

Outdoor, large Light & Optical Sculpture suitable for Traffic Islands.

General Design:

Three times 72 steel cables are suspended from 3 different rings from the central light mast, descending at different angles to their circular fixation on the ground.

Due to the different suspension points and the different angles, eye-catching Moire Patterns emerge and keep changing subtly move around the circular traffic island.
(The pattern is subtle and the lights change very slowly in order not to distract the drivers)

There are computerized LED color lights which change the appearance of the steel cable structure slowly, so it always looks different.

The sculpture is designed to be 180 ft or 60 meters tall. Currently it exists only in maquette size.
