May 2011 - Mexico

The XX International Stainless Steel Sculpture symposium, in the municipality of Toluca, Mexico has been organized by Miguel Hernandez Urban, AIESM Manager for Mexico and various local institutions and it took place from the 28th of April to the 08th of May 2011, in the Park Matlatzincas or El Calvario in Toluca.
The event has seen the participation of artists of different countries that contributed to increase the cultural patrimony of the Mexican capital.
The event was an homage to Master Leopoldo Flores, and the participating sculptors conceived their projects on his figure.
Artists from Korea, Japan, Italy, Cuba, Portugal, Turkey, United States and Mexico, expressed their talents through the monumental sculpture for leaving their contribution to the city of Toluca..
Once ended the symposium, the realized sculptures by 3 to 5 meters high, have been exhibited in the Garden Saragozza, in Toluca, in Paseo de la Reforma in the Federal District, and they actually follow a travelling exhibition through the Mexican country.
