July 2008 - Luxembourg
| | Florence Hoffmann, AIESM Manager in Luxembourg, organized together with the “Groupe Animation Gare” the 8 Gare Art Festival that took place from the 20 to the 27 of July 2008.
The participation to the selection’s process of the event ended on April 30 th 2008.
The organizing committee received a total of 62 projects of sculpture.
The jury selected for the participation to the festival the following 3 international artists:
1. Flavia Robalo - Italy/Argentina
2. Yasam Sazmazer - Turkey
3. Jose Luis Torres - Canada/Argentina
The following 3 artists from Luxembourg have been also invited to participate to the event:
1. Tom Flick
2. Katarzyna Kot - Bach
3. Wouter Van Den Vlugt
The sculptures have been created on the plaza of the railway station of the Luxembourg’s town, outside and in public. Material: block of oak-wood, dimensions around 200 cm high and a diameter around 60-80 cm. No given theme for the sculpture.
