INTERNATIONAL STONE SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM – VIETNAM

The Department of Culture – Sport – Tourism, Vietnam and with the cooperation of International Association for Monumental Sculpture Events (AIESM – Italy) organize the International Stone Sculpture Symposium 2013. The subscription of proposals & artworks in the discipline of Stone Sculpture will be submitted from the late December until 5 February 2013
The Symposium will take place in a City of Vietnam from 20 July 2013 to 16 August 2013. Totally will be selected 10 international artists and 10 Vietnamese artists to join the 3 weeks Symposium to create artworks on-site and outdoor to display for the one week Festival.

Announcement of 40 selected Artists in the first round: 05 March 2013
Deadline submission for Second Round: 05 May 2013
Announcement of 20 Invited Artists (Participants): 30 May 2013
The organizer will cover all traveling costs for participant artists coming to Vietnam as well as the basic equipments, working material, 2 supporters for each artist. The selected Artist will be provided accommodation and daily meals during their stay in Vietnam.
Materials: Stone
Size: Each artist implement the work on a stone of minimum size of 1m3 (1m x 1m x 1m) and maximum size 2,5m3 (1m x 1m x 2,5mH)
Commission for the participant artists: 2,400 usd
The symposium is open to the artists of all ages, all genders, and all nationalities and in the discipline of stone sculpture.
