WOOD SCULPTURE – GERMANY

This small symposium is a private initiative which is supported by only a few sponsors. Therefore the financial return of expenses can only be marginal.
Every applicant has to be an artist in his/her main profession or an advanced art student. Every participant works on his own risk and liability and has to bring his own protective work wear.
Material:
An Oak trunk (or other kinds of wood) of different length and more than 50 cm diameter will be provided
Tools:
chainsaw, care tools for chainsaw and care tools for woodcarving knifes, lifting techinques and one working slab (height 80 cm).
All other materiel necessary to realize the sculpture will be brought by the artists.
Ownership of the sculptures developed in the period of the Pleinair will be the artists. The created sculptures will be presented for sale during the art market.
Accommodation and food will be provided.
Each participant has an allowance for travel expenses: foreigners: guaranteed minimum 250eu (325 usd)
Germany: guaranteed minimum 50- to 100 eu (65-130 usd)
