In the year of 2013 a Swedish Art Biennial crosses the border to reach Finland and Russia, too
The Biennial will be on display from June 19 - October 06, 2013.
Theme: Crossing the Border
The world’s artists are invited to explore and illuminate the issues of borders, identity, cultural diversity and knowledge in an era of globalization.
• For artists that produce the art on site, the organizer will pay the travel, the food and accommodation
• An Exhibition fee of 1.000eu (1.290 usd) for each artist will be paid by the organizer.
• If the work of art is to be for sale, please indicate the price at the appropriate place on the application form.
• One grant worth 2.000eu (2.500usd) will be awarded.
• There are no restrictions regarding material or technique.
• Artists wishing to create their works on location must specify the materials they require that they would like the organizer to arrange. These materials are on the organizers expense.
• The organizer can provide the artist with tools and equipment. Please, notify in advance exactly needs.
• Artists that plan to send finished works shall send them so that the work of art will be in the exhibition venue by June 1, 2013 at the latest. Expenses for transports can be covered by the organizers.
