LARGE FORM FOR FREEDOM COMPETITION – POLAND

A Polish Foundation calls the international artist for the competition 2013.
The main part of the Festival will consist of exhibition of 3 monumental spatial artwork located in the Seaside Park from the beginning of June to mid October 2013. The topic choice for this edition is the idea of freedom, defined very widely as political, social, national, sexual and every kind of freedom.
The competition consists of two phases. In the first phase the Artistic Board shall award 3 prizes and 7 honourable mentions. In the second phase the Board shall qualify 3 works out of the best 10 to realization
Rules for the artwork:
-shall be at least 4m high; noticeable, proof to water and weather for at least 4 months;strong enough to be displayed in public place
The competition is open to all professional sculptors and students of sculpture departments of artistic universities.
PRIZES
The first award: cash prize of 5000 PLN
The 2nd and 3rd : cash prize of 2500 PLN
The authors of 7 mentioned designs will receive a certificate.
The Artistic Board may decide to award the prizes differently.
Public choice: cash prize 2000 PLN
The artists selected for exhibition will be invited to Poland in February 2013. The organizer will refund over travel costs (up to 500 PLN), accommodation and food in Gdansk.
The Project budget: 30,000 PLN (all inclusive)
The artists that will produce for their self the artwork will be refunded of 5000 PLN
The artist authors, whose works are created by subcontractors, shall receive reward of 2000 PLN for consulting services
