ARTWORK FOR NEW LIGHT FACILITY – USA

A Municipality of USA City, in partnership with an Enterprise of Power Supply, seeks an artist or artist team to develop permanent, site-integrated artwork for new substation. .
The artist will work closely with Enterprise staff and the substation's design team to develop the artwork. The artist will also develop proposals for opportunities for artworks by other artists that can be incorporated in and around the facility in the future.
The artist or artist team will be encouraged to include a variety of diverse media in the artwork.
The artist will join the project team in January 2013. The design phase of the project is in design development, with construction to be complete in late 2016.
The call is open to established professional artists residing and eligible to work in the United States
The budget to complete the artwork is 300,000 usd, all-inclusive of travel expenses, taxes and other proposal and project costs.
The artist will receive a design contract for 60,000usd to develop artwork and additional art opportunities. If the artwork proposal is accepted, the artist will receive a contract for 240,000usd to fabricate and install the artwork.
