SCULPTURE IN THE TOWN – USA

An exhibit of original outdoor sculptures displayed year-around in downtown of a city in South USA. From May 5th through September 30th the public votes for The People’s Choice sculpture, and that sculpture is purchased by the City at the end of the exhibit year. The winning artist will also receive a cash award and certificate. First and second place winners also receive cash awards and certificates.
The contest is open to professional and amateur sculptors of all backgrounds. The sculptures are owned by the sculptors and loaned to the exhibit. Sculptures may be considered too small if less than 20” in height, but may still be eligible if at least 6” in width. All sculptures need to be made of a durable material for the year long outdoor setting and constructed with safety in mind for display in a public setting. Sculptors will be provided 2 nights free at an hotel. Sculptors will be reimbursed for travel expenses at 50 cents a mile to 500.00USD maximum per sculpture per trip for delivery and pick up of the first sculpture, and 250USD for second sculpture.

The organization will provide the necessary equipment and assistants to install the artwork in the assigned place
Sculptors accepted into the contest 2013 will also have the opportunity to enter the similar exhibition to enter the similar exhibition
