INTERNATIONAL STONE SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM – TURKEY

The10 International Stone Sculpture Symposium will take place in a City of Turkey in November 2012.
A total of 10 artists will be admitted to the symposium, the committee’s decision will be based upon the evaluation of the artists’ application portfolios.
At the end of the symposium, each artist will be given a certificate of participation signed by the Rector of the University and the Lord Mayor of the Municipality. The material will be provided is white marble. The Municipality will provide each artist with a maximum of 3m3 block/ blocks of marble in total, cut in accordance to the artist’s dimension specifications. The symposium’s theme is “SPORT”.The sculptures created in the frame of the symposium will remain in the possession of the University and the Municipality.
The sculptures produced by the artists in the symposium will be placed in the positions chosen by the Artist, Symposium Committee and The Municipality.
Accommodation and food of the artists and his companions will be paid by the Municipality.
The organizer will refund to the artist the travel costs.
To each artist will be given a total of 10.000 TL for equipment expenses and copyright, at the end of the symposium.
