RESIDENCE FOR SCULPTORS – USA
 | Deadline: 1 December 2012 The studios are located in downtown Utica, New York, in proximity to light industry and various fabrication shops. Twenty artists are selected every year. Each receives a $2000 stipend toward residency expenses. Free housing and $100 transportation stipend are available for New York State artists. Residencies are scheduled between September and August, excluding December, with no more than four artists in residency at one time. Artists are expected to stay for a full two months. Residents have access to the studio 24 hours a day. They are responsible for their own materials, specialized tools, fees for work done outside the premises, and for an assistant, should they require one. Residents typically spend approximately $1000 per month on materials and expenses. A basic command of the English language is necessary. Bicycles are provided.
