ART WORK FOR A LIBRARY - ITALY

A municipality in Italy intends to characterize the building of the municipal library with the introduction of an art work. Particularly artists are called to realize a bright installation to be put inside the space with double height between the second and the third level, in correspondence of the principal prospectus that leans out on the plaza (see plants, prospectus, section and photographic documentation on the web site). The work won't have to occupy the space at the ground for at least the height of 2,5 meters with the purpose to allow the usual use of the area. The work can freely be realized with any technique and selected materials, provided that the characteristics of stability, facility of maintenance and durability are assured. There is an available budget for the realization and installation of the work of Euro 30.000,00 ( all the expenses included). For the second and the third classified there are two prizes, one of Euro 1500 and another one of Euro 1000. Italian or foreign artists, that elect domicile in Italy can participate.
