INTERNATIONAL SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM - ITALY

The "Third international sculpture symposium" is open to three couples of National and International sculptors and it will take place in a town of Italy, on date to be established as celebration of the 600° anniversary of the Proclamation of Mother Mary, protectress of the town. Every couple of Artists, will have to realize in 45 days (period to be established) a Madonna inspired to three different historical periods. The works, with 12 meters of height, will be sculpted on a flat wall of soft sandstone; the works will have to be related with the celebration mentioned above highlighting the importance of the figure of the Madonna, symbol of the creation and the mystery of the conception that goes over every scientific explanations and to catch that light that only the artists know how to express.
The organization offers:
- the wall of soft sandstone
- three bridges in suspension
- compressed air
- electricity
- food and lodging
- refund of the travel expenses until a maximum of 200,00 Euro
- honorarium for the participating artist of euro 4000
