INTERNATIONAL WOOD SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM – SYRIA

This third international wood sculpture symposium will be held under the patronage of the Syrian Ministry of Culture, from the 20th till the 31st of May 2012 in Damascus, Syria.
The material will be the wood, three trunks will be provided for each artist with the dimensions of 2m long and +\- 50 cm as diameter.
10 artists will be selected to participate at the event.
The organizer will provide each selected artist with electric chainsaw, in addition to small electric machine.
Each participant will receive a sum of 1500 euro at the end of the symposium. Travel and accommodation expenses are covered by the organizer. Theme of the symposium is free.
