INTERNATIONAL SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM FLANDERS
 | RESULT OF THE SELECTIONS
The Municipality of Lochristi and the Council for Culture, AIESM agent for Belgium Thierry Lauwers are organizing from Friday 27 April until Monday 7 May 2012 the Lochristi International sculpture symposium Flanders 2012. The material to be sculpted is wood and chatarra (metal scrap). There is no specific theme for this event. The selection process is now closed. The organization received 109 applications from 45 countries (259 proposals in total) and the quality of the entries have been very high.
The jury was composed by the following personalities: Yves Deswaene (mayor of Lochristi), Marie-Claire Van Nieuwenhuyse ( alderwoman for Culture and Tourism), Bert Vervaet ( Chairman Culture Council), Dani๋l De Clerq (President of Lo Art), Rudy Vereecken ( President Hermeline Art Group), Johan Depuydt ( Member of the Culture Council), Mieke Imschoot ( Head of Department Culture Lochristi/ Chairwoman of the Committee)
