INTERNATIONAL SCULPTURE FESTIVAL - UKRAINE

Artists are invited to submit entries in the first international festival of contemporary sculpture to be staged in Ukraine, from 2 June to 2 July, 2012. The festival aims to present a variety of trends in contemporary sculpture. The main project will represent artworks by Ukrainian and international artists without age limitation. Existing sculptures as well as proposals of sculptures are eligible for entry. All types, forms and sizes of sculpture in all materials are eligible for entry.New media, installation and non-object based proposals are also acceptable. The only sculptures that may be ineligible for the exhibition are those using fire, water or very loud amplified sound. The event offers to the artists:
- Prize System: Best Project Award, Best Emerging Artist Award, Audience Choice Prize, Special Award from the Project Sponsor (detailed information will be announced on February 2, 2012)
-High festival attendance, partially due to UEFA championship EURO 2012 visitors. It is expected that during the festival Kyiv will receive more than 800,000 additional tourists
- Sculpture sales opportunity
- Subsidies for the production of works by 7 of the selected artists. Funding will be determined individually for each proposal. The artist must provide a detailed budget once shortlisted.
