TWO WOOD SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUMS – DENMARK

The first international sculpture symposium will be held from the 10th to the 17th of June 2012. The second Symposium will be held from the 18th to the 24th of June 2012. Each sculptor will be provided with an oak log of approximately 150 cm x 50 cm of diameter. Out of this log the sculptor can make 1 or more sculptures.
This year all participating artists will get a cash payment of DKK 1500 ( about 200 euro) ,- upon arrival and euro 300.- by departure time for 1 symposium, If your join both symposiums you will get another euro 500.
The organization will select 15 sculptors on the base of the quality of their proposals.
Each participating artist must bring own tools including a power saw. Only artists coming from other countries but Europe will be supplied with a power saw. Travel grants Euro 100,- for artists coming from Europe, Euro 200,- for artists coming from outside Europe. The organization offers also food and lodging for the participating artists ( not for eventual companions). The sculptures created belong to the organizers.
