SCULPTURE AND PAINTING SYMPOSIUM - RUSSIA

This International Sculpture Symposium will be held in a town of Russia from the 20 of January till the 17 of february 2012.
Materials
Bronze casting by plastilin models
Wood (2 oak trunks 50 cm diametreX160 cm)
Canvases, acryl paints for painters
The Symposium provides the participants with:
- Accomodation and alimentation
- Materials for the realization of the sculptures and paintings.
- An honorarium for every participating sculptor of 2000 Euro (equivalent in rubles) for one finished monumental sculpture; and for painters 1000 Euro (equivalent in rubles) for 15-20 completed works 1m x1m at the end of the Symposium
- Transportation expenses coverage: for artists from counties of Europe – 200 Euro, for artists from countries of Asia and Africa – 300 Euro for artists from countries of North and South America and The Far East – 500 Euro
- Working places and studios for artists
- Naked models
- The equipped studio for painters with painting materials: acrylic, canvases, brushes
- Local transportation
- Exhibition of smaller sculptures in a local Museum
- Symposium Catalogue
- Coverage of the most important events of the Symposium on the web site and at facebook links
- Coverage of the Symposium events by russian mass media ( television, radio, newspapers, magazines)

For the selection the preference will be given to more figurative projects
The 16 participants of the Symposium (8 sculptors and 8 painters) will be selected on the base of projects of the sculptures (for sculptors), painting sketches (for painters) and documents.
