INTERNATIONAL WOOD SCULPTURE MEETING – GERMANY

The 7. International Pleinair Sculpting with Chainsaw will take place from the 24th of April 2012 to the 3rd of May 2012 in the studio of a German sculptor located 40 km from Berlin Centre. An Oak trunk (or other kinds of wood) of different length and more than 50 cm diameter will be provided for each participant. Likewise chainsaw oil and petrol, care tools for chainsaw and care tools for woodcarving knifes, lifting techniques and one working slab (height 80 cm). Sculpting will be done with chainsaws – electrical or petrol driven. Each participant should bring his own equipment.(also foreigners)
The created sculptures must be able to stand on concrete or wood or on the ground. The created sculptures will be presented for sale during the art market. In case of sale, the organizer receives 20% of the price. The organizer offers to present the sculptures at his sculpture park free of charge up to one year. The sculptures will remain property of the artists. A later sale is highly aspired.
Accommodation and food will be provided free of charge.
Each participant has an allowance for travel expenses:
foreigners: guaranteed minimum 250,- EUR
German: guaranteed minimum 50,- to 100,- EUR
It is intended to conduct the pleinair with 7 - 10 sculptors.
