RESIDENCY PROGRAM FOR SCULPTORS – USA

Ingrandisci la fotoDeadline: 01 December, 2011
Twenty artists are selected every year to participate to this International Residency Program in a centre for the sculpture in USA. Each receives a stipend toward residency expenses. Residencies are scheduled between September and August, excluding December, with no more than four artists in residency at one time. Artists are expected to stay for a full two months. Residents have access to the studio 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
They are responsible for their own materials, specialized tools, fees for work done outside the premises, and for an assistant, should they require one. Residents typically spend approximately $1000 per month on materials and expenses. A basic command of the English language is necessary. Bicycles are provided, and a shared car is available for local travel. Free housing and $100 transportation stipend are available for New York State artists. Artists are requested to credit/acknowledge the centre of residence when the work that they make here is subsequently exhibited or published, and to provide excellent images of their work for our Web site, archives and publications.
