INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION OF SNOW SCULPTURE - ITALY

The competition will take place in a town of the North of Italy from the 30th of November to the 4th of December 2011
10 teams of 3 sculptors will be selected by a qualified jury to participate in the competition. Fashion is the theme of this competition. Dimensions of the snow-block must be 3 meters of height, 3 meters of width and 3 meters of depth. The artists may use any techniques and manual tools for the execution of their works.
Chain saws and other electric devices, internal or external supports and colouring substances are forbidden. The sculpture must be completely finished on all 4 sides. Board and lodging in hotels for the artists are at expense of the Organization. Extras are not included. Each Italian team of artists will be given a refund of documented expenses of Euro 420,00, Euro 780,00 will be refunded to each European team (including teams from Russia and Ex Soviet Union) and Euro 1.300,00 to each team from the rest of the world.
Prizes
Critics Award 2011: official prize will be awarded by a committee consisting of representatives of the artistic world. The awarding will take place on December 4, 2011.
Audience Award: the awarding date must be decided.
Artists Award: the participating sculptors vote for the most beautiful sculpture.
