INTERNATIONAL CONTEST OF SNOW SCULPTURES - ITALY

After the success of the last winter, this International Contest of Snow Sculptures will continue in 2012, from Sunday 08th of January up to Friday 13th of January 2012. At an altitude above the 2500 sl and with an inimitable sight to the "Zillertaler Alpen", selected artists will model a sculpture on the theme "World of Comics" from a block of snow and ice of dimensions 3,5 x 3,5 x 3 ms. The contest is open to sculptors coming from the whole world. Among all the competitors, 10 sculptors are selected for participating in the contest. The sculptors can be composed in a team. A team can be composed by maximum 2-3 people (adults).
Refund of the travel expenses:
Every participating team will receive 0,20 Euro (included VAT) of remuneration for every km from the place of origin.
A team from Europe will receive a refund of maximum 280,00 Euro, included VAT, while a team coming from other continents will receive a refund of maximum Euro 550,00 included VAT. The organization offers board and lodging to the participating sculptors.
A jury of experts will select the sculptures deserving the followings prizes (gross, included VAT 25%):
1. prize: 1.150,00 Euro
2. prize: 850,00 Euro
3. prize: 600,00 Euro
4. prize: 150,00 Euro
5. prize: 450,00 Euro
6. prize: 300,00 Euro
