9TH INTERNATIONAL SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM - GERMANY
 | Deadline: 31st of January 2012 This 9TH International sculpture symposium will take place in 2012 in a small town located in Lower Saxony, Germany ( 30 miles southwest of Hanover). The day of arrival will be published later on the web site. Approximately ten artists from all over the world will be working in local sandstone (very hard, max. weight of 2 tons or 1 cubic meter) wood and metal. The organization refunds the travel expenses in economy class and it offers free accommodation and food within local families. The artist receive an honorarium of 40 euro for each day. The sculpture created during the symposium becomes property of the artist. The artist agrees to leave the sculpture on place for at least two years, unless the sculpture is sold. The final placement and care of the sculpture will be carried out by the town. If a sculpture is sold or collected, the artist will be responsible for the transportation costs. If a sculpture is sold, the organizers receives the 20% of the selling price.
