CALL FOR PROPOSALS FOR A SCULPTURE EXHIBITIONS – FLORIDA

This Botanical Garden is an 18 acre subtropical land with a nearly 80 year history as one of Florida’s most enchanting and educational attractions. The organization will select up to 50 sculptures for display in its 2011 Sculpture Exhibit. Each selected artist will receive a $500 stipend upon receipt of sculpture, as well as the chance to win cash prizes for first, second, third and visitors’ choice awards. Additionally, the artist will receive invaluable exposure to the thousands of visitors ‐ and potential buyers ‐ who come to the garden each year. Entry is open to all artists.
All entries must be original work of the submitting artist. Sculptures must be structurally sound, made of materials appropriate for extended display (4+ months) outdoors. All artwork must be for sale. The organization will receive 25% commission on the sale of any artwork. Artists are responsible for shipping of artwork. Artwork will be insured by the Garden for the duration of the exhibition.
Exhibit will run from December 1, 2011 – April 30, 2012.
