ART WORK FOR CENTER OF CIVIL PROTECTION - ITALY

A Municipality in Italy, announces the competition for the realization of an artistic work to enrich and qualify the new logistic center of civil protection. Italian or foreign artists can participate to the contest, but foreigners will have to elect domicile in Italy. The gross amount to cover the expenses of the realization of the art work is of Euro 50.000,00 ( included taxes). The second and third classified can receive a prize respectively of Euro 1.000,00 and Euro 500, as refund of the expenses sustained for the presentation of the project. The art work has to be a sculptural object of dimensions suitable to the spatial relationship with the present architecture and the surrounding spaces.
The theme is substantially free, even if the artist will have to keep in mind that the work has to be installed in a building turned to logistic center of civil protection.
The space for the installation of the sculpture is clearly individualized in the plan. The competitors will have to guarantee the maximum duration and the resistance of the work to the bad weather and thermal excursions.
