SCULTURE COMPETITION –UNITED KINGDOM

The competition is open to all British Citizens and it is aimed to create a sculptural interpretation of a Paralympic sport. Sculptures can be made of any durable and rigid material from which it’s possible to take a mould for bronze casting. Suggested suitable materials include: clay, plaster, wood, metal and rigid plastics etc…..Materials which are not suitable include: paper, cloth, wire etc…Sculptures must not exceed 40cm in any dimension, this means height, width and length. As a general rule sculptures should be a minimum of 20cm in at least one dimension. The work submitted must be new or created within the past 3 years.The winner will receive £1000 as a retrospective commission fee. Their sculpture will be cast in bronze at the prestigious Pangolin Foundry, as a limited edition of up to 25, and complete the commissioned collection. The winner will have the chance to visit the Pangolin Foundry.The collection will be exhibited in Oxford, Bath and London in 2012. The winner will also receive a commission on sales.
The winner is responsible for the safe delivery of their sculpture to an address nominated by the organizers who will reimburse costs of up to £50 (receipts must be provided).
