4 INTERNATIONAL SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM - LITHUANIA

An association in Lithuania organizes its 4th international sculpture symposium that will take place in a town of Lithuania from the 5th to the 23th of June 2011. The number of participating sculptors for this meeting is limited to 6.
Material to be used: stone boulders from 1.5 m to 2.5 m in diameter. . Not a sawed stone, and there is no possibilities to saw. Stones can be broken by splitting wedges. Finished works will remain ownership of the town of Panevezys and will become a part of the sculpture park. The accommodation and the meals are paid by the organization. For accompanying person , the expenses of residence and meal will be at their expense. Every sculptor will have the equipment to sculpt (electricity, compressed air and water).. The theme of this edition is "Liberty". The sculptors have to bring their personal tools.
Honorarium: Every sculptor will receive an individual honorarium of 3000 LT( paid by bank transfer). Travel expenses for all artists will be covered as follows:500 Lt for each foreign artist from Europe (included Russia & Turkey),1000 Lt from other countries.
Soirées, discussions, cultural excursions and other events will take place during the Symposium.
