INTERNATIONAL SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM - GERMANY

In September 2011 a symposium will take place in a town of Germany which during the last 10 years has become an established cultural event. International as well as national artists, sculptors and caricaturists are working together in an „open air studio“ on the church square in the historic centre. The event will take place from Friday 16th till Sunday 25th September 2011.Theme 2011: " Heaven and Earth ".A total of max. 25 artists will be invited: 16 to 18 sculptors and 6 to 9 caricaturists. The caricaturists will be personally invited by the event organizer. The organization this year is looking forward to welcoming mainly artists from Italy.
Services provided by the organizer:
- Material (trunk wood) will be provided for free, in individual agreement with the artist and subject
to availability. Please state your requirements. Tools will not be provided!
- Free lodging and Meal vouchers
- Publication of a catalogue, (free copy for participants) plus photo-CD.
- Possibility for free of charge presentation of the participants and their works.
- Allowance in the amount of 275 Euro (for continuous presence)
The sculpture created during the symposium remains property of the author that can sell it together with other 3 other pieces which he/she may be able to carry. A public auction will take place at the end of the symposium and normally it brings to good sales.
In case the sculptures remain unsold, they will be exhibited for 2 years on place.
The organization retains a commision of the 25% of the selling price if a sculpture is sold.
