2 INTERNATIONAL MARBLE SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM - ROMANIA

This 2nd International Marble Sculpture Symposium will take place in a town of Romania between: June the 19th and July the 17th 2011. A total of 10th artists will be participating in the symposium.
The material to be used is white local Marble. The organization will provide each artist with a maximum of 2 cubic meter block/ blocks of marble in total, sized and preformed according to the artists orders as dimensional specifications. The organisers will provide power and air compressor, angle grinder 9". Artists will take their own tools.
The theme of the symposium is free. The sculptures produced by the artists in the symposium will be placed in The Sculpture Park of the city. The accommodation (motel,double rooms) and food will be provided by the Municipality and sponsors. Accompaniments can come on their own expenses. Travel expenses for all artists will be covered as follows:200 euros for each foreign artist from Europe (included Rusia & Turqy), 500 euros from other countries and local transportations for Romanian artists.
Each artist who has completed his work will be given a total of 1000 euros. The half of the total amount will be paid in the second week of the symposium; the remaining will be given after the symposium is completed, along with the certificate of participation
It's suggested the participants bring visual material of their works to share with the artists and small sculptures, drawings for an exhibition in the municipal Gallery, opening will be on August 13th 2010.
