INTERNATIONAL MARBLE SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM - SPAIN
 | A Spanish institution announces the ninth International Sculpture Symposium in marble. Any artist can participate.
This activity has as its main aim to bring about and promote the artistic work.
It is established a first prize set at 5000 Euro, a second prize at 3000 Euro and a third prize at 2000 Euro.The rest of participating artist will be rewarded with the total amount of 1000 Euro.
Ten works will be selected, which must be completed in a period of 9 days, being the opening on the
13th of June 2011 and the closing ceremony on the 23th of June.
The presented projects will be free-standing sculptures and the subject matter of the work is free. The originality of the work will be taken into account.
The material to be used in this Symposium will be white marble of the area. The dimensions of the sculpture cannot be superior to 170 x 80 x 80 cm.
The works realized during the Symposium will belong to the organization.
The organization will decide the final location of the works carried out during the Symposium. The organization will run with the expenses for the maintenance and accommodation of the participants. For the execution of the sculptures, the organization will provide the participants with power and compressed air points, supporting tools, such as radial machines, electric drills, pneumatic drills, etc., advising the participating sculptors to bring their own tools.
