INTERNATIONAL SCULPTURE MEETING - BELGIUM
 | Deadline: February 15, 2011 This International Sculpture Meeting will take place from the 4 th to the 30th of August 2011 at a Stone Museum in a town of Belgium. The organizer : - Provides the stone (blue limestone « petit granit ») in a single block 1m3 choose in a near quarries. Not a sawed stone, and there is no possibilities to saw. - Offers you the lodging in the buildings of the youth movements from August 3 until August 31 (5 km distant from the museum). - Offers an hot meal free of charge each day. - Provide showers and lavatories. - Provides a compressor for the artists, but they have to bring their own material like hammers, tubes and all necessary accessories. - Provides electricity, water and suitable material for lifting stones. - Will provide an R.C. accident insurance. The finished work belongs to the sculptor. However, he or she pledges not to dispose of it until June 1st 2012. Through the year, the works will be on display at the museum. After June 1, 2012, the works not claimed by their authors will remain on display for an undetermined period. To simplify transportation problems, foreigners unable to do otherwise will be allowed to take back their work as of September 1st 2011. Should a work be sold during exhibition on the museum site, a 10 % commission of the sale price will be paid to the museum. In case the organization purchases a work, the cost price of the stone provided would be deducted from the sale price.
