INTERNATIONAL SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM – CANADA

This symposium will take place from August 4 to September 3 in a village in Canada. Up to 2 cubic meters of marble will be provided for sculpting .
Lodging and meals for participants will be provided.
Each sculptor will receive $3,000 (Canadian) for participation in the symposium.
Participation of an assistant is encouraged. Arrangements for accommodation must be made in advance, double occupancy accommodations will be provided at no additional charge if arranged in advance. Each sculptor will be provided with one 7”grinder and one 5” grinder, several units of suitable diamond discs. The sculptor should bring with them a small pneumatic hammer and personal sculpting tools as each participant sees fit and according to his or her needs.
The sculptures executed shall be installed in the sculpture park where they will be offered for sale for a five year period. If sold, the organization will retain $5000 (Canadian) as partial compensation for expenses, the remainder will be shared 50/50 with the sculptor. . If the sculpture is not sold within the 5 year period it will become the property of the organizer.
