INTERNATIONAL SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM – SLOVENIA

Three sculptors will be chosen for the participation on the base of preliminary registrations or organizer invitation.
The symposium will take place from the 01 to the 30th of July 2011 in a town of Slovenia
Material: mainly wood – oak, 3m3 in one or more pieces, diameter from 50 – 100 cm
Installation: space in the Gallery surrounding by choice of the organizer and with the authors consultation (in 2010, the sculptures will most probably be placed in the middle of two rondos of the new bypass).
Conditions: Experience in wood sculpturing and independent work in open space. Organizer assures the basic tools: chain saws, small tools and machines for material transport, help with harder works, electrical (junction) connection, plinth for setting up the sculpture, help with setting up the sculpture, protection, impregnation of the sculpture, accident insurance for the time duration of the Symposium.
For each participant organizer assures and settles the cost of accommodation in the town of symposium in a single room with half board and lodging, as well as the meal and non alcohol beverage during the work. Just as well the transportation from place of work to the lodging will be provided for.
Organizer takes care for media promotion of the symposium (TV, local and professional news-paper interviews and announcements), public presentation at the end of the Symposium and presentation in a monograph and pamphlet. The organizer also assures an honorarium for each author in amount of 2000 Euro (net prize) which will be transmitted to the authors account by the end of Symposium.
