MONUMENT FOR THE SAILORS - LAS PALMAS

The organization of this competition would like to erect a monument in a City of las Palmas that will serve, from a side as homage to all the sailors and fishermen that have promoted the growth of this City of sea tradition, and from the other hand, as a tribute to the victims of the “Cruz del Mar” (Cross of the Sea), name of the boat in which they perished, victims of the terrorism, seven of the ten sailors of the island that were on board on November 28 th 1978. Any sculptor can participate to this contest. The introduced works will have to be unpublished, and they must not have been winning or introduced in other contests.
The author whose work will result winning will receive an economic prize of Euro 1.200, gross. The Town hall will realize the work that will be installed in the more convenient place.
