6 INTERNATIONAL WOOD SCULPTURE MEETING - GERMANY

This 6. International Pleinair Sculpting Meeting with Chainsaw will take place from the 25th of April 2010 to the 3rd of May 2011 (Departure) in the private studio of a sculptor, located 40 km from the centre of Berlin. Material to be sculpted: An Oak trunk (or other kinds of wood) of different length and more than 50 cm diameter will be provided for each participant.
Sculpting will be done with chainsaws – electrical or petrol driven. Each participant should bring his own equipment.(also foreigners). The organization will furnish only the tools for the maintenance and the petrol. The created sculptures must be able to stand.
The created sculptures will be presented for sale during the art market.
In case of sale, the event`s organizer receives a 20% of the price as mediation charge. The organizer offers to present the sculptures at his sculpture park free of charge for up to one year. The sculptures will remain in the possession of the artists. A later sale is highly aspired.
Accommodation will be provided free of charge in one local hostel. The food will also offered by the organizer.
Refund of the travel expenses:
Foreign artists: guaranteed minimum 250 Euro
German artists: guaranteed minimum 50,00 to 100,00 Euro
It is intended to conduct the pleinair with 7 - 10 sculptors.
