SCULPTURE SYMPOSIUM - LUXEMBOURG

A municipality in Luxembourg organizes its 3rd sculpture symposium from the 28th of May until the 4th June 2011. The number of participating sculptors for this meeting is limited to 6.
The artists work in an open-air space, protected and illuminated, and they will sculpt during one week a marble block of a maximal dimension of 150x70x70 cm (in an unique block) that will be provided by the organizer. The realized artworks should be of minimum 140 cm of height.
Every sculptor will have the equipment to sculpt (electricity, compressed air and water). Sculptors must use their own tools to sculpt and finish their works. The theme of this edition is “Muses”.
Every sculptor will receive 1400 euros (one thousand four hundred euros) for his benefit at the end of the symposium. He must present a bill and the money will be transferred on a bank account.
