SECOND MEETING OF SCULPTORS - ARGENTINA

A Municipality in Argentina organizes the second Meeting of sculptors with national and International character from the 14th to the 22nd of November 2010. The meeting is open to any plastic artist. A jury will select the participating artist on the base of the received proposals. The theme of the meeting is: " Bicentennial Year " "Cultural Syncretism". The organization will furnish the following material for the realization of the sculptures:
- Trunks of hard wood (Locust, Lapacho or similar). Dimensions: meters 1,50 of length x 0,50 of diameter approximately.
- Blocks of Marble. Dimensions: meters 1 x 0,50 x 0,50
- Iron and metal discards
The selected artist will have to bring the whole equipment for the realization of the work. The lodging and the food for the participating artist participant will be offered by the organization.
The travel expenses to the place of the meeting will be, instead, paid by the artists.
The participating artists will receive:
National artists: $1500 Argentinian pesos as acquisition of the work.
Foreign artists: $2000 Argentinian pesos as acquisition of the work.
The works realized by every artist will remain ownership of the organization and they will belong to the existing Cultural Patrimony of the City.
